You are invited to join the 8th Triennial International Conference on Healthcare Systems Ergonomics and Patient Safety - HEPS2025 - in Dublin, Ireland, 18 – 20 June 2025, and contribute by submitting an abstract for an oral presentation or a poster presentation.

The Call for Abstracts is open from 9th July to 15th October, 2024

The Scientific Committee of HEPS 2025 invites abstracts describing original and high-quality research or practices on all aspects of Human Factors Ergonomics (HFE) in healthcare for oral or poster presentations. The Healthcare Systems Ergonomics and Patient Safety (HEPS) 2025 conference, takes place from the 18-20 June in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and provides a global platform for the exchange of knowledge, shared resources and technological innovation driving all aspects of healthcare safety.

HEPS 2025 addresses patient safety, optimisation of system performance, human wellbeing, healthcare ergonomics, access and equity with contributions from the HFE discipline, all healthcare professions (those working in any aspect of healthcare), blending tradition and advances in the application of physical, cognitive, organisational and system HFE.

Endorsed by the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), HEPS 2025 welcomes an innovative, dynamic and applied agenda, to highlight the latest research, industry insights, challenges and developments in HFE in healthcare, including stakeholder engagement. HEPS 2025 will bring together patients and public partners, HFE academics and practitioners, policymakers, regulators all with the aim of developing ‘Better Safer Healthcare, by All for All’.
